Selected Scenes

I've selected 4 scenes from my movie Dark Journey in order to show different facets of both the movie itself, and my own point of view. Before I ever made a feature I'd always heard how most people rarely, if ever, watch their completed movies; now that I've in fact directed one, I know why: You end up spending endless hours watching, worrying over and overseeing what starts out as a vision and by the time it's finally done you're really puking at the thought of it. Ha ha. But true.

Scene 1: Kelly phones home

Kelly, newly arrived in London phones home to try to connect with her uncaring mother. After arguing about Mum's live in boyfriend, the distraught and disturbed girl is reduced to tears.

Scene 2: On the Heath

Kelly is accosted on Hampstead Heath by a manipulating witch, who is posing as a normal local type.

As a newly arrived to the UK American, Kelly cannot tell who are her friends and who are her enemies, and as a result, the naive girl is obliged to accept everyone she meets at face value.

Scene 3: Mirror Dance

Scene 4: Attitude

After having been pushed over the edge by the dark forces which control her world in London, the formerly sweet Kelly throws away all vestiges of innocence. As far as she can tell, life stinks, people are only out to use her, and she's no longer prepared to listen to anyone no matter how genuine they might be.
